Larry W. Watson, M.D.
Dr. Larry Watson is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with a specialty in Sports Medicine.His specialties include the treatment of knee and shoulder problems associated with sports injuries and overuse.
“Sports medicine is a unique discipline, because it attracts physicians who not only are interested in medicine, but also understand the unique needs of the athlete,” says Dr. Watson. “The Center’s state-of-the-art technology and convenient, one-stop location including physical therapy allows me to help athletes return to their sport stronger and more physically ready for the stresses they endure.”
A former college basketball player, Dr. Watson has spent his career serving as team physician for athletes in football, basketball, hockey, AA baseball, skating, squash, rugby, soccer and gymnastics. Among those organizations for which he currently serves as orthopedic team physician are the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Columbus Crew MLS Soccer, the Columbus Landsharks, Bishop Watterson High School and Universal Gymnasts. He is married and has three children.
