Louis J. "Jack" Unverferth, M.D.

Dr. Jack Unverferth is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and is well known in Central Ohio for his leadership in the diagnosis and treatment of sports related injuries among adolescent and adult athletes since 1974. Dr. Unverferth served as The Ohio State University’s team physician from 1974-1995 and he is currently the Director of orthopedic education at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He has served as clinical instructor and in leadership positions for numerous medical organizations.

“We know that exercise is good for both the body and the mind, but repetitive exercise can place extra stress on our joints and other parts of our bodies,” says Dr. Unverferth. “We are always learning about the complex relationship between movement and the health of our joints, and it is rewarding to me to help pass this knowledge along to athletes and active adults as I help them regain their mobility.”
