Kurt L. Unverferth, M.D.

Dr. Kurt Unverferth is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in total hip and knee replacement surgery, including partial joint replacement and joint revisions of the hip and knee. He is also an expert in the biological treatment of articular defects in young patients suffering from osteoarthritis.

Committed to advancing technology to find newer and better devices and procedural methods, Dr. Kurt Unverferth is helping to lead the way in the use of “computer assisted” total joint replacements. This technology increases the reliability of the operation by allowing him to see things he couldn’t see before. As one of the first surgeons to use the technology recently put in place by Riverside Hospital, Dr. Unverferth looks forward to this technology becoming a standard of care.” For more information on this exciting technology, please visit www.depuyorthopaedics.com

A second-generation orthopedic physician, Dr. Unverferth is pleased to have joined practice with his father. “Early on, I developed a high regard for the importance of helping people regain their mobility after injury or disease,” he says. “I’m pleased to be able to carry on in helping the next generation of patients.”
