Scott J. Van Steyn, M.D.
Dr. Scott Van Steyn, of Ohio Riverside Sports Medicine at the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence, is a fellowship trained sports medicine specialist with an interest in sports injuries and fracture care. After graduating with numerous honors in both academics and athletics from Duke University, he began his medical education to continue working in the sports field as a physician.
“Having been a competitive athlete, I understand the importance of training and conditioning for young athletes,” says Dr. Van Steyn. “With my medical training and experience, I also can help them understand what it takes to get back into their sport after an injury.”
Dr. Van Steyn serves as team physician for numerous sports teams from the high school to professional level and has covered numerous sports championships in football, soccer, skiing, and track and field including providing athletic care at the 1996 Olympic Games.
