Joseph Mileti, M.D.
Dr. Joseph Mileti, of Ohio Riverside Sports Medicine at the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence, is an orthopedic surgeon with particular expertise in reconstruction and replacement of the shoulder and elbow, and sports medicine.
These areas of expertise have given him an edge in the treatment of patients at the Center. “The shoulder is the most mobile and flexible joint in the body,” says Dr. Mileti. “When it is injured, either through repeated overhead movements, direct impact or a fall onto a hand –which often happen in sports – it upsets the balance between mobility and stability, and medical attention is important.”
Dr. Mileti recently finished specialized training in reconstruction of the shoulder and elbow at the Mayo Clinic, and received numerous honors during his academic training. Dr. Mileti has special interest in shoulder replacement surgery. He is married with three children.
