Nancy M. Vaughan, M.D.

As a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Nancy Vaughan, of the Ohio Spine Institute at the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence, has expertise in non-surgical spine care. She educates patients with spinal disorders and injuries about medications, activities, and exercises to help alleviate pain and discomfort. When necessary, she performs spinal injections (lumbar epidurals, selective nerve root blocks, and facet joint injections) and performs electrodiagnostic testing to evaluate patients' numbness or weakness.

"As a physiatrist, I approach the patient in a holistic manner, with the goal of improving the level of function of the patient many times, by decreasing pain," says Dr. Vaughan.

Dr. Vaughan was chief resident at The Ohio State University Medical Center and class valedictorian at Wright State University School of Medicine.
