William R. Fitz, M.D.
Dr. William Fitz, of the Ohio Spine Institute at the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence, specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical care of spinal disorders. He also has expertise in electrodiagnostic testing, which helps pinpoint the nature of disorders of the peripheral nervous system.
He finds the care of acute back pain a rewarding specialty. “Physical medicine offers patients with spinal disorders an alternative to surgery,” says Dr. Fitz. “We are learning more all the time about the causes and treatments for lower back pain, and the technology at the Center supports that effort.”
Dr. Fitz holds two U.S. Patents for devices that assist in the treatment of lower back pain, one for a facet joint pain relief method and apparatus, and one for an artificial facet joint. Dr. Fitz is married and has four daughters.
