Joseph Mileti, M.D.Dr. Joseph Mileti is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in reconstruction and replacement of the shoulder and elbow at world renowned Mayo Clinic. He received numerous honors during his academic training and is currently active in research to contribute to advancing treatment options in orthopedic surgery. These areas of expertise have given him an edge in the treatment of patients at the Center. “The shoulder is the most mobile and flexible joint in the body,” says Dr. Mileti. “When it is injured, either through repeated overhead movements, direct impact or a fall onto a hand –which often happen in sports – it upsets the balance between mobility and stability, and medical attention is important.” "Moreover, while hip and knee replacements are more common, shoulder replacement surgery has evolved to a point where its’ results are comparable to those of hip and knee arthroplasty." Dr. Mileti has specialized training in reconstruction of the shoulder and elbow at the world renowned Mayo Clinic, and has received numerous honors during his academic training.
