December 5, 2006 - Staying true to it’s commitment to excellence, The Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence will be adding physical therapy as a new service line beginning
January 2, 2007. Physicians owned and operated physical therapy is a nationwide trend wherein physician gain quality control over what’s happening to their patients before and
after surgery. “Managing everything from staffing to protocols and patient management, physicians can maintain the highest standards of patient care and help patients travel the
complete continuum of care with their orthopedic issues.” “
We are excited to offer the highest quality care in orthopedics to our patients,” says Dr. William Fitz, managing
partner of The Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence.
Located at 4604 Sawmill Rd., the 5,000 square foot facility is situated conveniently across the street from the main center on Sawmill Road and slated to open January 2, 2007. The “Ohio Therapy Institute” will be directed by Geoff Omiatek, PT.
1. Comprehensive Health Care: Complete care of all orthopedic conditions focusing on prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
2. Efficiency for Patients: The entire practice uses the same electronic medical records system which reduces paperwork, while increasing communication between the members of the health care team.
3. Quality Control: The physicians and therapists are working as an integrated team and will be interacting daily to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Additionally the Institute plans to make ongoing research of protocols and functional outcomes a priority, working in conjunction with the center’s 21 orthopedic surgeons and
specialists. The ability to operate patient medical records on the same system as the Center, will enable a more streamlined and efficient approach to managing patients.
