March 3, 2005 – Columbus, Ohio –The Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence Foundation is pleased to announce its scholarship program for future health care professionals, Achievers of Excellence.
Ten $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors in Franklin County planning to enter a career in medicine. Eligible students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, demonstrate leadership and community service, and plan to pursue a degree in pre-medicine or a related field. Applications are due April 15, 2005.
“Our Foundation is committed to giving back to our community,” said Mark J. Triffon, M.D., director of the Foundation. “We are pleased to support the future medical professionals of central Ohio through our Achievers of Excellence scholarship program.
